Children’s Miracle Network

Every year across the United States and Canada Children’s Miracle Network picks a child that has or had a serious illness for the champion child of that state or region. In the state of Oregon that champion child is me. I am so thankful for this amazing opportunity that is a once and a life time thing. This Sunday (November 9th) My mom, My older brother and I will be embarking on this trip. On Sunday we will be flying to Washington D.C. and then to Orlando. Whilst in Washington D.C we will be meeting with the First Lady and do a tour of the white house. In Orlando we are doing a lot of different things around and in Disneyworld. I am so excited about this trip with my family! There will be a lot of pictures coming up!

Junior.

Junior year, as some would say… The one that counts. I started my junior year September 3rd. This year has already been filled with a lot of memories and I am only about a month and a half in. This year is super busy, consisting of PSAT’s, traveling, and finally looking at colleges. College is one of those things that you either love or hate. This year i have been venturing into the medical field, as of right now I am looking into nursing or maybe a Doctor.

August 15.

Today is a very bittersweet day. It’s Friday August 15. Exactly 6 years ago I was 10 years old scared out of my mind because I had cancer. I thought today was a good day to do another blog post. As I am here in the backseat of my moms car on our way home, I realize how many amazing people who were with me and who are still with me pushing me to be the best person that I could ever be. I am so thankful for the out come of my cancer and treatment. Thank you to everyone who has made me into a better person. Another thank you goes to my amazing Mom and amazing Dad who were always there for me while in treatment and big life choices.

The moment that my life turned upside down.

August 15, 2008 the moment my life turned upside down. But first let’s back up to July 2008, I was playing on the ground with my grandpas dog when she started to smell my ear and kind of scratch at it. My mom told me to put ice on it and it will just go away. Two weeks later I had noticed that that little bump that was behind my ear turned into a big bump that was the size of Heimlich (the Caterpillar from ‘A Bugs life’). Two doctors send me home with different medicines and different appointments for later times. Then finally after those doctors sent me home we wanted one more opinion. We saw a plastic surgeon who said “I have no idea what it is but it needs to come off,”. We took the mysterious bump off of my ear on a Tuesday and labs normally come back within two weeks but we got the results back in four days. That Friday the 15th of August the test results came back that the small...

My First Post

Many people have told me to write a book or a blog, so I have chosen the internet because as a teenager I am pretty handy on the internet. This blog will basically be about stories and experiences that have happened in my crazy beautiful life. In the past 16 years life has given me many ups and downs. My favorite author John Green said it the best “I’m on a roller coaster that only goes up my friend,” (The Fault in Our Stars). I hope you find joy and happiness within my blog.
